Community Worker (2 part-time positions)

Nasc, Ireland and TIRC, in association with HSE Social Inclusion CHO 4 (Cork & Kerry), invite applications for 2 part-time positions as Community Worker (Refugee Supports). One position will be based in Cork City (22.5 hrs per week) and the second position will be based in Tralee (15 hrs per week).

The role of the Community Workers will be to support HSE services to work with families and individuals who are resettled/relocated refugees and/or are living in EROCs and other accommodation centres.

These positions are for a one year fixed term contract.

Essential requirements include:

  • A recognised 3rd Level Qualification in Youth & Community Work,  Social work, The Humanities,  or an equivalent qualification

AND

  • Have experience of working with ethnic minority communities and in particular refugees and asylum seekers.

AND

  • Have a minimum of two years experience of Community Work, Social Work or equivalent in the community and/or statutory sector.

Closing date for receipt of application forms: Friday April 7th 2017 at 5pm.
